a biofeedback device for do-it-yourself therapy
"insecure, anxious, disgruntled? Everybody knows those feelings. Modern society makes high demands on everyone. With the Enzephalomat 88 you can meet all those demands – professional or private – easily. It removes mental irregularities like anxiety disorder, feelings of low self-esteem, delinquency or light and medium depression."
The Enzephalomat 88 is a biofeedback device to cure mental insufficiencies. It consists of eeg electrodes attached to headphone and a display unit. The electrodes are connected to an eeg amplifier. Brain activity is continously measured and compared to a standard model of social behaviour. Based on patent pending algorithms, an audible and visible feedback is generated, that corrects any psychological irregularities.
This is my diploma project. The Enzephalomat is a satire on the faith in technology of past and future decades (with a retro look).
